What we provide for solar installs
Edge protection & roof access
Perimeter guardrails, properly spaced lifts and secure ladder access to keep roof teams safe on pitched and flat roofs.
Loading bays & handling
Loading bays and safe routes for panels, rails and fixings. We plan clear hoist/lift positions to minimise manual handling on site.
Designs & calculations (when required)
Where standard guidance isn’t suitable, we can supply calculations and drawings. Otherwise we follow recognised industry guidance for tube-and-fitting scaffolds.
Public protection
Debris netting, fans and clear segregation where work faces the street or public footways. We’ll advise on pavement/highway permits if needed.
Tidy setups
Neat ties, minimal footprint and careful protection of driveways, gardens and access paths. We leave sites clean and remove waste on dismantle.
Typical solar scaffold setups
- Semi-detached/terrace: front elevation with edge protection, return to gable if needed, ladder access and lift at loading point.
- Detached houses: two elevations for front-and-rear arrays, segregated access for residents.
- Bungalows: low-level runs with full perimeter guardrails and safe working platforms.
- Commercial roofs: longer elevations with loading zones and internal access where appropriate.
How we plan your project

FAQs
How quickly can you install?
Standard domestic setups are often turned around within a few days. If your installer has confirmed dates, tell us and we’ll plan the earliest slot.
Do you coordinate with my solar installer?
Yes—we’ll agree access points, loading areas and dates to keep the programme moving smoothly.
Do you handle pavement/highway permits?
Where a scaffold needs to stand on the public footway or road, we’ll advise and manage permits where applicable.
How long can the scaffold stay up?
We’ll agree a duration at the outset and can extend if needed. Inspections are carried out every 7 days and after alteration.
